16–17 April 2026 | London + Online (Hybrid Format)
SPACE Studies is delighted to announce the SPACE International Conference 2026 on Housing, to be held on 16–17 April 2026, in a hybrid format combining in-person participation in London with online attendance options.
Under the theme “Reimagining Housing: Design, Policy, and Social Futures,” the conference invites a critical and interdisciplinary examination of how housing shapes — and is shaped by — the complex relationships between design, governance, economy, and society.
Housing remains one of the most urgent global challenges of our time. As affordability crises deepen and climate imperatives intensify, questions of access, equity, and sustainability have become central to the discourse on urban living. This conference seeks to explore how design innovation, social policy, and cultural understanding can intersect to create inclusive, resilient, and equitable housing futures.
The event will bring together architects, urban designers, housing scholars, policymakers, and social researchers to exchange ideas and discuss strategies for reimagining housing beyond the limits of current paradigms. Through presentations, case studies, and round-table discussions, participants will investigate the links between design, social justice, and environmental responsibility in the context of global housing systems.
At SPACE Studies, our international conferences provide an engaging platform for academics, practitioners, and industry experts to connect, collaborate, and share innovative research in architecture, planning, housing studies, and social design. Guided by our distinguished International Advisory Board, the conference upholds the highest academic and professional standards, ensuring a dynamic and enriching experience for all participants.
