Call for Papers
SPACE International Conference 2018 on Housing will be held in London between 19th and 20th October 2018. We hope that the conference will be an ideal platform to discuss the recent advances and research results in the fields of Housing and all related areas such as architecture, policy studies, education, interior architecture, urban studies, social sciences, engineering etc. SPACE Studies of Planning and Architecture invites researchers, policymakers and social partners to share knowledge from their fields of expertise according to the themes of the Conference which include, but are not limited to:

Submission and Guidelines
All accepted abstracts and all full papers will be published in the conference e-proceedings with ISBN. The hard-copy version of the Conference E-Proceedings will also be published and can be purchased either in the Registration process or during the Conferences. Selected papers will be accepted through a double-blind reviewed process and will be published electronically with ISSN in SPACE International Journal on Space Studies in Architecture and Urban Design.
We will submit the proceedings and the journal to be indexed in the Thomson Reuters, SCOPUS, The Avery Index, Google scholar and CiteULike for possible Indexing.
Guidelines are available for papers that will be submitted to SPACE Conferences. These guidelines form the lay-out of the paper, involve title, abstract (maximum of 300 words), keywords, sections and headings, tables, figures, equations, acknowledgements, references, placement of names of authors and co-authors and the length of the paper which should be no more than 10 pages including all text (abstract and main body), figures, tables and references. Keynote Speakers
Assistant Professor Ayla Torun
New Media Department, Nisantasi University
Ayla Torun is an academician and director of documentary film. She is an assistant professor at Nisantasi University, New Media Department. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Marmara University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio-Television. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences. And than she completed a proficiency in arts education at Beykent University, Cinema-Television section. After the school years at a time she has worked as assistant director in TRT Istanbul television. She works in cinema and new media.
Then headed to work in the field of corporate communications and advertising. Her first documentary film, “The City Coming from Their Behind; Istanbul’ about Greek origin minorities from Istanbul. It was screened in 2016 during the 4th AegeanDocs International Documentary Film Festival in Mytilene (Lesbos) and during the 14th Environmental Film Festival in Istanbul. Her second documentary Sunflowers is a migration, architecture and heritage film. Sunflowers screened in official selections that 14th Flying Broom International Film Festival (Ankara), 6th AegeonDocs International Film Festival (Lesvos, Greece) and 12th Istanbul International Architecture and Urban Film Festival. There are articles in cinema, television and communication studies fields and interested in photography.
Senior Consultant Doruktan Türker
Director, PureMind
Doruktan Türker is a senior consultant, writer, professional life coach, keynote speaker, master of ceremony, lecturer and futurist. He co-founded Turkey’s first audio content platform Yodiviki and co-owned London based PureMind Advising Services. He has extensive experience on ICT sector, project management, marketing, investment relations for start-ups, publishing, qualitative research and consultancy for more than 20 years.
Some of his keynote speech titles are: ‘A Near Future Scenario with Hopes & Realities’; ‘Social Impacts of Technology’; ‘Privacy in 21st Century’; ‘The Future of Professions’

Doruktan is a graduate of the Anadolu University (B.A. Management and Organisation) and Istanbul University (Radio-TV Broadcasting). He is a member of Turkish Futurists Association.

SPACE International Conferences take place in The City of London. The City of London, the capital of United Kingdom is a year-round tourist destination as it is the largest city in Europe and located astride the famous river of Thames. SPACE International Conferences in 2019 will be held at Antoinette Hotel Wimbledon.

Please, note that all the transaction costs are taken from the canceler’s refund balance and refund is done after the conference.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION
- One regular registration with one or more additional papers has only one conference e-proceedings if its category includes.
- If the paper has more than one authors, all the authors attending to the conference should register to the conference by paying the related category fee.
- All poster presentations should be registered in Oral Presentation Category.
- Invitation letters will only be issued once participant’s registration and payment have been completed.
- Invitation letters will be sent by e-mail.
- All full-papers should be written on the given full-paper template within the 10 pages limit. In the contrary case, the full-papers will taken into the template format and additional pages generated due to the full-paper template will be charged to the participant at the Conference Registration Desk during the conference. It is the responsibility of the author to comply with the writing rules.
- Conference e-proceedings and virtual presenter certificate will be sent to Virtual Presenters after the conference.
- Listeners can register and pay their registration fee at the conference registration desk during the conference.

- Please fill the Registration Form and send a copy of the remittance to architecturalspacestudies@gmail.com. If you are a student please remember to add supporting documents stating your studentship. The document should be taken from the related university authority so please note that student IDs are not accepted.

- The conference secretariat has to receive the exact amount of registration fees. If not, the participant has to pay the balance due at the registration desk. Therefore, the participant has to add some Stirling Pounds for the international transaction cost. Any addition received will be reimbursed at the Registration Desk.
