Space International Conference 2018 on Sustainable Architecture, Planning and Urban Design

SPACE International Conference 2018 on Sustainable Architecture, Planning and Urban Design established an ideal platform to discuss the recent advances and research results in the fields of Sustainable Architecture, Planning and Urban Design and all related areas such as engineering, education, interior architecture, and social sciences. The term “sustainability” is usually admitted as an environmental issue; however, a more holistic perspective that embraces the critical relationship between humanities and ecological sciences is needed to get rid of unsustainable practices and technologies on behalf of improving Earth’s ecological systems. Even though the responsibility of science fields like architecture, urban design, planning and engineering cannot be neglected; every human being should have a perspective to ensure that their actions do not hinder the opportunities and lives of future generations. At this junction, human communities’ diverse cultural heritage gains importance in developing such a point of view nearby scientific researches. In this context, SPACE Studies of Planning and Architecture hosted researchers, policymakers and social partners to share knowledge from their fields of expertise according to the themes of the Conference including sustainable architecture, planning and built environment, climate change, energy efficiency, sustainability in education and training, sustainable tourism and regional development, sustainable materials and building technology, sustainable urbanism, transportation, case studies, sustainable solutions in emerging countries, waste water, cultural heritage and sustainability, social sciences and sustainability, sustainable policies and governance, economics and management, green infrastructure development, and sustainable landscape planning and design, but not limited to. Thus, “SPACE International Conference 2018 on Sustainable Architecture, Planning and Urban Design” had been a significant platform where sustainability was discussed from different perspectives and research areas. We would like to express our gratefulness to all members of the Scientific Committee who had provided the scientific quality of this Conference. We, additionally, would like to thank to all members of the Organisation Committee who had spent heroic effort for the organisation of this event. Finally, we want to especially thank to our Editor who had striven for the Conference Proceedings.
