SPACE International Conference 2019 on City Planning and Urban Design

SPACE International Conference 2019 on City Planning and Urban Design will be held in London between 5th and 7th July 2019. We hope that the conference will be an ideal platform to discuss the recent advances and research results in the fields of City Planning and Urban Design and all related areas such as architecture, planning, policy studies, education, interior architecture, urban studies, social sciences, engineering and so forth.

Submission and Guidelines

All accepted abstracts and all full papers will be published in the conference e-proceedings with ISBN. The hard-copy version of the Conference E-Proceedings will also be published and can be purchased either in the Registration process or during the Conferences. Selected papers will be accepted through a double-blind reviewed process and will be published electronically with ISSN in SPACE International Journal on Space Studies in Architecture and Urban Design.

We will submit the proceedings and the journal to be indexed in the Thomson Reuters, SCOPUS, The Avery Index, Google scholar and CiteULike for possible Indexing.

Guidelines are available for papers that will be submitted to SPACE Conferences. These guidelines form the lay-out of the paper, involve title, abstract (maximum of 300 words), keywords, sections and headings, tables, figures, equations, acknowledgements, references, placement of names of authors and co-authors and the length of the paper which should be no more than 10 pages including all text (abstract and main body), figures, tables and references. Keynote Speakers

Dr Hourakhsh A. Nia, Academic Staff
Department of Architecture, Alanya HEP University & Editor-In-Chief of International Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs (IJCUA)

Dr Hourakhsh A. Nia is a full-time academic staff in the Department of Architecture at Alanya HEP University. He was the former Head of the Department of Architecture and Interior Architecture at Girne American University where he established the International Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs (IJCUA) in 2016. Since then, he is the Editor-In-Chief of IJCUA. Dr Hourakhsh A. Nia is the chairman of the international conference series with the name of Contemporary Architecture and Urban Affairs – ICCAUA2018 and ICCAUA2019.

He has over 8 years of research experience in interdisciplinary studies of architectural humanities and social sciences, particularly the interrelations of Aesthetics in Architecture and urban design, housing and Sustainable Urban Conservation. He is an editorial board member of the International Journal of Art and Architecture Studies and International Advisory Board of Space Independent Academic Platform.

Dr Rokhsaneh Rahbarianyazd

Assistant Professor, Department of Architecture, Alanya HEP University & Editorial Board Member, International Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs (IJCUA)

Dr Rokhsaneh Rahbarianyazd is Assistant Professor and full-time lecturer in the Department of Architecture in Alanya HEP University. She is an architect with research interests that span the cultural strategies for generating urban quarters and typo-morphological analysis into the evolution of the cities and architectural forms. These studies have been approached in several publications in academic journals. She is also the author of book with the title of “Role of Adaptive Re-use in the Revitalization Process of Historic Quarters”. Since a year, she engaged both research and practice on the teaching and learning method in Architectural Design. She published a book with the title of “Introduction to Architectural and Technical Drawing: A Practical Handbook” (2019) for instructors and students of architecture and engineering major with the aim to improve teaching and learning method of technical drawings. Since 2017, she is an editorial board member of International Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs (IJCUA).

SPACE International Conferences take place in The City of London. The City of London, the capital of United Kingdom is a year-round tourist destination as it is the largest city in Europe and located astride the famous river of Thames. SPACE International Conferences in 2019 will be held at Docksland Academy, which is is a modern English Language and Higher Education Academy close to London’s financial district in Canary Wharf.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION
  • One regular registration with one or more additional papers has only one conference e-proceedings if its category includes.
  • If the paper has more than one authors, all the authors attending to the conference should register to the conference by paying the related category fee.
  • All poster presentations should be registered in Oral Presentation Category.
  • Invitation letters will only be issued once participant’s registration and payment have been completed.
  • Invitation letters will be sent by e-mail.
  • All full-papers should be written on the given full-paper template within the 10 pages limit. In the contrary case, the full-papers will taken into the template format and additional pages generated due to the full-paper template will be charged to the participant at the Conference Registration Desk during the conference. It is the responsibility of the author to comply with the writing rules.
  • Conference e-proceedings and virtual presenter certificate will be sent to Virtual Presenters after the conference.
  • Listeners can register and pay their registration fee at the conference registration desk during the conference.
