SPACE Studies announces Professor Ruth Irwin (Adjunct Professor, Department of Education, The University of Fiji) as a Keynote Speaker at SPACE International Conference 2018 on Sustainable Architecture, Planning and Urban Design which is the very first conference of the Platform.
Professor Ruth Irwin is in the midst of writing a new book on Climate Change and Knowledge Ecologies. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Fiji and the erstwhile Head of School at Aberdeen’s School of Education. Professor Ruth Irwin has written several books on climate change and philosophy, including Heidegger, Politics and Climate Change (2008), Philosophy and Climate Change (2010) and Beyond the Free Market (2014) amongst others. She is interested in philosophy of technology, and modes of social change that transitions from rampant consumerism to sophisticated and earth centric social, political, and economic organisation and infrastructure.
