Refugees’ urban commoning practices towards an intersectional right to the city by Dr Charalampos Tsavdaroglou

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting Dr Charalampos Tsavdaroglou as a Keynote Speaker at SPACE International Conference 2022 on Refugee Crisis, Architecture and Urbanism. The conference will be held on 8-9 July 2022.

The Speaker is a visiting professor on Human Geography at Hellenic Open University. Charalampos holds a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the School of Architecture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Amsterdam and a Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Thessaly. He has been appointed as an adjunct faculty member (Lecturer) at the University of the Aegean, University of Thessaly and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research interests include critical urban theory, the autonomy of migration, intersectional, decolonial and affective geographies, the right to the city, common spaces versus spatial enclosures and urban social movements.

Dr Charalampos Tsavdaroglou will be discussing “Refugees’ urban commoning practices towards an intersectional right to the city” in his speech at our upcoming conference on Refugee Crisis, Architecture and Urbanism.
