SPACE Studies is happy to inform that Dr Sedef Doganer (Associate Professor, University of Texas at San Antonio Interim Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs at the College of Architecture, Construction and Planning and Department Chair of Architecture) will be Keynote Speaker at SPACE International Conference 2020 on Sustainable Architecture, Planning and Urban Design.
Dr Sedef Doganer is an associate professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and studies design issues related to tourist spaces, urban revitalization, sustainable tourism development, and is an expert on cultural heritage tourism. Her research focuses on sustainable tourism destinations, heritage management and hospitality design. She specializes in innovative, multi-disciplinary research on sustainable development in historic cities, and preservation of the urban fabric and landscapes of San Antonio. Dr Doganer’s most recent projects include an assessment of San Antonio’s heritage resources and an analysis of heritage tourism potential of recently designated World Heritage Site, San Antonio Missions. She received her Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Science in Architecture, and Ph.D. from Istanbul Technical University. She currently serves as Interim Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs at the College of Architecture, Construction and Planning and Department Chair of Architecture. Dr Doganer is also a member of ICOMOS International Cultural Tourism Committee.
