SPACE Studies establishes SPACE Studies Publications by registering on Nielsen’s website in the United Kingdom, in April 2018. The Platform as a publisher in the UK has a legal obligation to send one copy of each of their publications to the British Library Legal Deposit Office within one month of publication. Additionally, the publications of SPACE Studies will be sent to The Agent for the Legal Deposit Libraries who is responsible for acquiring legal deposit material for five other legal deposit libraries: The Bodleian Library, Oxford; The University Library, Cambridge; The National Library of Scotland; The Library of Trinity College, Dublin; The National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth as well.
The Platform states that this legal deposit ensures that each book published by SPACE Studies Publications will become part of the nation’s heritage and preserved for future generations. The Platform plans to start publishing the Conference Proceedings of the conferences they are organising, but will continue with an Academic Journal as well as academic books in the future.
