The Platform postpones the International Conferences on Gender, Space and Architecture and on Refugee Crisis, Architecture and Urbanism which were supposed to be held on 15-16 May 2020 to 20-21 November 2020 due to the developments in COVID-19 situation.
SPACE Studies explains that because their aim is to organise the events on site, they prefer to postpone the events instead of turning them to online events which would match one of their initial goal they stated while establishing the Platform. Thus, the Platform is known as a place, where researchers and experts from all over the world can come together and meet in London to share their research findings, ideas and discuss them with each other. For this reason, the Platform thinks that changing the events to virtual ones will be their last solution if the situation with COVID-19 won’t get better by September 2020.
